Uses
- Chlorine is mostly used for water purification and bleaches
- Again it was used in WW1 as a war gas.
- It is used today in paper products, dyestuffs, textiles, petroleum products, medicines, antiseptics, insecticides, food, solvents, paints, plastics, and many other consumer products.
- Alot of the chlorine created is used in the manufacturing of chlorinated compounds for sanitation, pulp bleaching, and disinfectants.
- It's also used in the extraction of bromine which is also in the halogen group in the periodic table.
- Chlorine can be found in farming pesticides also.
